Community Standards-The Campus of Purpose

The Campus of Purpose™ exists to help young people discover who they are, build confidence, use their voices, create solutions, and practice leadership.

That requires more than technology.

It requires community.

Every student, MentHER™, facilitator, volunteer, educator, speaker, partner, and staff member shares responsibility for creating an environment where people can learn, experiment, ask questions, make mistakes, contribute ideas, and grow with dignity.

Our Community Standards are grounded in the REAL D.E.A.L.™ Framework:

Treat others with dignity. Different experiences, cultures, backgrounds, abilities, identities, perspectives, and ideas are part of a healthy learning community. Disagreement is allowed. Disrespect isn't. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, threats, humiliation, discriminatory behavior, or targeted abuse do not belong in the Campus of Purpose™.

Healthy leadership includes knowing and respecting boundaries. Participants should respect physical, emotional, personal, professional, and digital boundaries. Adults working with students carry an additional responsibility to maintain appropriate youth-adult boundaries.

No opportunity, mentorship, introduction, recommendation, or professional relationship should ever be used to pressure a student into inappropriate communication or behavior.

Purpose-OS communication exists to support learning, mentorship, teamwork, projects, service, opportunities, and community. Participants should use approved communication channels for their intended purpose. Students should never be asked to keep an adult relationship or communication secret from parents, guardians, or GSTW.

Your story belongs to you. Do not pressure someone to disclose personal information they do not need to share. Do not publish, screenshot, distribute, or misuse another participant's private information, communications, images, work, or personal story without appropriate permission.

Purpose-OS celebrates creativity, innovation, collaboration, and responsible use of technology.

Represent your work honestly. Give others credit. Do not plagiarize, impersonate another person, falsify credentials or accomplishments, or intentionally misrepresent your contribution to a project. AI can be a powerful tool—but it should help students think, create, and learn, not falsely represent someone else's work as their own.

Adults are here to expand possibility—not take over. MentHERs™, educators, facilitators, partners, and volunteers should ask before telling, prompt before solving, and create room for students to develop their own ideas.

Student voice is not decoration. It is part of the design.

We want students to experiment. 

Ideas may fail.

Prototypes may break.

Pitches may change.

Questions may lead somewhere unexpected.

That's part of innovation.

Give constructive feedback. Challenge ideas without attacking people. Help others improve rather than making them afraid to try.

Do not use Purpose-OS to harm, exploit, deceive, threaten, harass, impersonate, or expose another person.

Do not attempt to bypass platform permissions or safety features.

Do not knowingly upload malicious content or use the platform for unlawful activity.

Leadership includes speaking when something isn't right. If you experience or witness behavior that may violate these standards, tell us. Raising a good-faith concern is not "causing trouble."
